Rania Hoteit is the CEO of ID4A Technologies, named Best Entrepreneurial Company in America by Entrepreneur Magazine under her leadership. She is an award winning serial entrepreneur, international public speaker, writer, advisor, judge on global startup competitions, and a social impact leader in women empowerment, gender equity, and education who holds multiple recognitions from the White House.
Rania is a proven Senior Executive, Consultant, and Entrepreneur with 14 years of success across automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, architecture, and technology leveraging extensive experience in design, innovation science, business strategy and product development. Her broad areas of expertise include business development; design research and strategy; Industrial Design and Product Development, User Experience; Production Design, materials and manufacturing research; emerging systems and technologies; robotic automation; higher education and executive training. Throughout her executive career, she has worked in cross-disciplinary collaborations with leading global companies across design, technology, and business innovation, including Steelcase, GE, JPL, NASA, Walmart and Amtrak. She has also had many R&D collaborations with privately held companies and research laboratories on proprietary projects and innovative processes in advanced manufacturing.
Besides her dedication as CEO to lead ID4A to the forefront of Design Technology, she extends her expertise to advise startups in early stage, and to teach innovation workshops for accelerators and startup incubation programs. She is a panel judge on global Hackathons, demo pitches and startups showcase competitions around the world including WeMENA, Angelhack, Startups Show Case and Live Sharks Tank. Rania is also an international public speaker on organizational leadership, design technology, STEAM innovation, entrepreneurship, economic empowerment of women and girls, and education revolution.
In addition to her various business activities in the entrepreneurial world, Rania is an active social impact leader with recognized initiatives in gender equality, women empowerment, and education. As an avid strategist, she consults early stage companies and global organizations to build and implement strategies to break stigmas in their workplace and to ensure equality amongst their teams. In recognition of her expertise and contributions in design and technical education, she was invited by The United States Department of Education to join a panel of highly selected representatives from the nation’s top makerspaces and maker organizations to judge and score 650 design proposals from schools from across the nation to the CTE Makeover Challenge, a competition initiated by the government to strengthen the next generation career and technical skills.
Rania was nominated “ChangeMaker” at The United State of Women Conference convened by The White House for her contributions to make the world a more gender equitable place. Rania was also recognized as a “Champion of Change” by The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy at the Champions of Change for Making event and kickoff of the National Week of Making for her significant contributions and leading efforts in technical education to empower, support, and inspire design and manufacturing, and for her company’s contributions to advance technology platforms that empower and expand the resources available for designers, architects, makers, inventors and entrepreneurs that foster the development of advanced manufacturing in the United States as the World. Rania was awarded the “Ambassador of the Year” 2016 award at the Flight to Freedom Summit in California for her initiatives in social impact and business leadership supporting education, gender equality, and women empowerment in entrepreneurship.
